For a classic roofing in the style of the beaver tail, the Solar Beaver Tail was developed. As a building-integrated photovoltaic module, it has the same appearance as conventional beaver tail tiles. This enables even buildings with listed structures to be stylishly used for energy generation (photovoltaics and solar thermal energy). In addition to the Mediterranean variant in terracotta, there will also be a version in brown and in classic black. The Solar Beaver Tail can also be additionally connected to a battery storage and a heat pump to provide even more efficient electricity and heat for your home.
Multi Energy Roof
With the Multi Energy Roof developed by paXos, it is possible to use photovoltaics and solar thermal energy in combination with an attractive, inconspicuous appearance. A conventional trapezoidal sheet metal serves as a substructure, on which solar roof tiles of various designs can be easily and quickly installed. The Solar Beaver Tail is one possible design variant.
Through the trapezoidal sheet as a substructure, defined air channels are formed, which allow rear ventilation and thus cooling of the solar cells. This significantly increases the service life of the entire system. At the same time, the warm exhaust air can be used as thermal energy by means of a heat pump.

The Solar Plain Tile offers the aesthetics of a modern roof shingle, but in combination with the benefits of PV and solar thermal energy. The PV module is a so-called glass-glass module with an additional butyl edge sealing, so that it has an extremely high resistance to external loads such as storms or hail and no moisture can get to the cells. The design is rounded off by a powder-coated aluminum frame, which provides excellent UV and corrosion protection and protects the corners and edges of the glass package

We are very proud to announce that Meyer Burger has acquired the rights to our Solar Roof Tile Mild-Hybrid and will now handle the industrialization and distribution. Meyer Burger is already working at full speed to set up series production and plans to start this and sales at the beginning of 2023. New information regarding the price and distribution channels will also be communicated by this time at the latest. Direct ordering via Meyer Burger or us is not planned for the time being.

The Solar Roof Tiles developed by us retain the aesthetics of a conventional roof. The incoming sunlight is converted directly into electricity. In combination with a battery storage system, self-produced electricity can be used even at times when the sun is not shining. If the Solar Roof Tiles are additionally combined with a heat pump, heat can be provided for the house even more efficiently.
Glass package // housing
Besides the glass module, the separate housing is another systemic advantage. The flexible connection ensures freedom during installation and exchangeability of individual modules. Furthermore, the rear ventilation is integrated directly into the housing. Stable and durable materials ensure the protection of the house. Securing the SDP-MH against storm suction is also realized via the housing.
Due to the powder coating of the housing and colored solar cells, variants in other colors (e.g. terracotta, green, blue) can be realized in addition to the classic solar roof tile in black.
Special advantages compared to standard PV systems
The inconspicuous integration of a high-performance solar module into the roof structure is a key argument for using the Solar Roof Tile Mild-Hybrid from paXos. In addition to the functional design, there are further advantages due to the entire roof system. These include the preservation of the aesthetics. In addition, there is no need for double roofing compared to elevated modules.
Extras
By using the Wave Profile in combination with the Solar Roof Tile Mild-Hybrid, a classic, curved roof tile design can be created. The wave profile is inserted between the individual solar roof tiles and is also walkable, hail-proof as well as extcremely protected against corrosion.
Our newly developed, flat Junction Box has its own bypass diode, which becomes active in the partial shading area. In addition, it includes a safety shutdown at module level, which in case of an emergency shuts the entire solar energy system off.

In the production of prefabricated houses and halls, entire external facades can be clad easily and quickly with the Solar Facade Element as a building-integrated PV element (BiPV). The resulting surface generates not only electricity but also thermal energy, which can be used by means of a heat pump.
The universal mounting can be easily adapted in design to the PV panels used. Furthermore, individual facade elements as well as PV panels can be removed from the composite for maintenance. Another product advantage is the rear ventilation of the Solar Facade Element, which increases the efficiency of the entire system. In addition, the facade is kept warm in winter and cold in summer.
Cooling and insulation
The Solar Facade Element is developed in three stages of expansion due to its sandwich construction. In the basic version, the mounting and the PV panel are provided. Due to the structure, the rear ventilation is already integrated.
The next higher configuration level includes built-in insulation through insulating material and a thermal insulation panel. The highest equipment level also includes formed cable ducts and interior wall cladding.
Easy (dis)assembly and maintenance possibility
In case of maintenance there are further advantages:
